SC Senate Democratic Leader Questions Sanford's Priorities
Columbia, SC - South Carolina Senate Democratic Leader John C. Land, III (D-Manning) issued the following statement today in response to Governor Mark Sanford's June 24th remark on his continuing time in office.
"Yesterday, Mark Sanford said that (quote) 'Over the time that I have left in office, I'm going to devote my energy to building back the trust the people of this state have placed in me.' We need a Governor who can devote his energy to addressing our state's record-high 12% jobless rate - not a Governor who has said his top priority is elsewhere.
"Putting his own personal needs ahead of the job's demands is self-centered. It suggests that Mark Sanford's still thinking about what's best for him, not what's best for the state," said Land.

mark sanford should be forced from office hes not onley a big let down but a distraction as well and we need to move on.
