SC Senate Democratic Leadership Urges Governor McMaster to Hold Annual State of the State Address Vi

Columbia, SC- South Carolina Senate Minority Leader Brad Hutto (D-Orangeburg) and Deputy Minority Leader Ronnie Sabb (D-Williamsburg) sent a letter to Governor McMaster today urging him to cancel the in-person gathering scheduled this Wednesday for the annual State of the State Address amid the rapid spread of COVID-19 across South Carolina. Senators Hutto and Sabb called on the Governor to deliver his speech virtually, rather than putting lawmakers, staff, media and guests at risk by having the traditional audience.
