South Carolina Senate Democrats to Hold Caucus Meeting Virtually
Columbia, SC - Today, the South Carolina Senate Democratic Caucus announced they will hold their annual planning meeting virtually ahead of the 2021 Legislative Session. The meeting will be held on December 16th.
Senate Minority Leader Brad Hutto (D-Orangeburg) informed members of the caucus of the plans on Monday.
“We’ve seen a sharp increase in the number of Coronavirus cases in South Carolina, and after some deliberation, we’ve decided to have our meeting virtually out of an abundance of caution and to help keep Senators and their families safe” said Senator Hutto.
“We must continue to take this public health crisis seriously, and adapt so that we can continue to serve our constituents in the best and safest way possible.”
